It was a special night for the Blue Devils Girls Tennis team as they celebrated their seniors with a dominant 5-0 victory over Stivers, improving their record to 8-1 overall. The seniors came through in a big way: #1 Singles – Senior Mackenzie Tait: 6-3, 6-1. #2 Singles – Senior Lorelai Wells: 6-1, 6-4. #3 Singles – Senior Kira Volk: 6-0, 6-1. #1 Doubles – Senior Ellie Dafler & Kinley Ebbing: 6-1, 6-1. #2 Doubles – Senior Mina Volk & Chloe Thomas: 6-2, 6-0. The Blue Devils also picked up two wins in JV action: Khloe Wrightsman & Leah Miller: 8-0, and Grace Maloon & Eliza Sievers: 8-1. The Brookville Lady Tennis team battled through the heat and a tough SWBL showdown with Eaton High School, pulling out a hard-fought 3-2 victory. #1 Singles: Mackenzie Tait fell 3-6, 1-6. #2 Singles: Lorelai Wells won by retirement due to illness after leading 4-6, 4-2. #3 Singles: Kira Volk fell 0-6, 1-6. With the singles matches split, the Lady Devils needed both doubles victories—and delivered in a big way. #1 Doubles: Ellie Dafler & Kinley Ebbing won 6-0, 6-2. #2 Doubles: Mina Volk & Chloe Thomas won 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-6 in a thrilling three-set battle. The victory improves Brookville to an impressive 7-1 overall and 3-1 in SWBL conference play. Congratulations to the entire team on a hard-earned conference victory.

The Brookville Lady Devils Tennis team battled through the heat and came away with a 5-0 victory over Preble Shawnee. Preble Shawnee was short a couple of players and was forced to forfeit the #2 Doubles match, giving Carol Thomas and Mina Volk the win. The Lady Devils took care of business across the rest of the lineup: #1 Singles: Kira Volk won 6-0, 6-0. #2 Singles: Ellie Dafler led 5-0 before her opponent was forced to retire due to illness. #3 Singles: Kinley Ebbing won 6-0, 6-0. #1 Doubles: Mackenzie Tait & Chloe Thomas won 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. Tonight's victory improves the Lady Devils to an impressive 6-1 overall.

The Brookville Lady Devils defeated a very young Madison Mohawk squad in straight sets 25-17, 25-11, and 25-11. Brookville is 3-2 on the season and 3-0 in SWBL Buckeye Division play. Brookville has now won 34 straight SWBL Division matches, the longest winning streak in Lady Devils Volleyball history.

The Lady Devils Tennis team got back in the win column with a 5-0 victory over Stebbins at home! All five varsity spots were victorious. #1 Singles: Mackenzie Tait won 6-0, 6-1. #2 Singles: Lorelai Wells won 6-2, 6-4. #3 Singles: Kira Volk won 6-0, 6-0. #1 Doubles: Ellie Dafler & Kinley Ebbing won 6-2, 6-1. #2 Doubles: Mia Volk & Chloe Thomas won 6-0, 6-2. In JV action, Carol Thomas picked up a win at singles, and Leah Miller & Khloe Wrightsman earned a win in doubles. Eliza Sievers & Grace Maloon fought hard but came up short in their JV match. Brookville's only loss on the season was to an extremely strong Oakwood squad.

Brookville totally dominated the Stebbins Indians in girls' soccer Monday night 12-0 at Memorial Field in Brookville Stadium. Kinley Kummer scored a hat trick for the second straight game. Lily Stephan, Alyssa Lackey, Addalyn Simmonds, and Sophia Duke each added a pair of goals, and Jaylee Brooks scored on a penalty shot. Goalie Liv Shelton earned the shutout with four saves. Brookville is now 4-1 on the season.

Brookville vs Shawnee

Brookville defeated Shawnee 38-6 to earn their first win of the season on Memorial Field at Brookville Stadium Friday night. It was the first win for Head Football Coach Jay Fullenkamp. Xavier Hummel rushed for 102 yards, scored two touchdowns, and blocked an extra point for the Blue Devils. Ike McSurley added 96 yards and a touchdown as well. Lucas Chambers ran for a score and Leighton Brooks snagged a 34-yard TD pass from Blake Sprada for the other touchdown. Sam Seita drilled a 28-yard Field Goal for the other Blue Devils points. Brooks also had an interception in the game.

Brookville vs Carlisle

Lily Stephan and Kinley Kummer each scored hat tricks as the Brookville Lady Devils crushed the Carlisle Lady Indians 11-0 in soccer action Thursday night. Brookville is now 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the SWBL. Brookville had 27 shots on goal and defensively did not allow a shot on goal during the entire match. Kaylee Haupt added a goal and two assists, Alissa Lackey had a goal and two assists, Addalyn Simonds scored a goal, and in the game's final seconds Kate Hayden found the back of the net.

The Brookville Lady Devils Volleyball team defeated the Waynesville Spartans in straight sets to kick off the 2026 SWBL Volleyball season. The scores were 25-21, 25-13, and 25-17. It was the 31st straight SWBL Buckeye Division victory for Brookville. Marci Warner, Lucy Hoover, Jolie Gudorf, and great serving by Ava Combs highlighted the Lady Devils' play in the match. Brookville is now 1-1 on the season. It was the first win at Brookville for Head Coach Kaylie Case. Brookville visits Carlisle Thursday.

The Brookville Girls Tennis Team took to the courts Monday night at Preble Shawnee and took care of business! The home team only had enough players to compete in three matches, but the Lady Blue Devils made the most of the opportunity and came away with a 5-0 victory. #1 Singles: Mackenzie Tait def. 6-0, 6-0. #2 Singles: Kira Volk def. 6-0, 6-0. #3 Singles: Chloe Thomas — won by forfeit. #1 Doubles: Lorelai Wells & Mina Volk def. 6-3, 6-2. #2 Doubles: Ellie Dafler & Kinley Ebbing — won by forfeit. Another strong performance from the Lady Blue Devils! Go Blue Devils!

Rockford-Parkway took advantage of six Brookville turnovers, turning them into 27 points as the Panthers stunned Brookville 27-14 Friday night. Parkway broke an 18-game losing streak with the win. In the last three Brookville losses the Blue Devils have turned the ball over six times in each game. The last time Brookville lost an opening season game was in 2014 to Tri-County North, twelve years ago. Parkway converted only three third-down plays and two went for touchdowns. Brookville got a 14-yard touchdown run from Ike McSurley and a one-yard plunge from Xavier Hummel. Sam Seitz was a perfect 2/2 on PAT kicks. For Parkway, Perry Schwieterman ran for a touchdown and tossed for two more. Isaac Beveridge caught one spectacular TD toss and then iced the game when he intercepted a Brookville pass and returned it 60 yards for the clinching score in the final minute of play. Brookville will host Springfield Shawnee Friday, August 28.

Covington won the final three sets to defeat Brookville in Volleyball Thursday night at the Devils Den. It was the first home loss for Brookville since late in the 2023 season, ending a 20-game regular season winning streak. The scores were 13-25, 25-17, 28-26, and 25-20 for the Buccaneers. Covington has seven seniors, Brookville only three, and the Lady Devils only return one starter and one other player who saw any significant Varsity action last year. Brookville started fast but the match turned in set two when Covington broke a 14-all tie to win it 25-17. In the third set Covington had three set points that Brookville managed to stave off before dropping it 28-26. The Buccaneers then broke a 19-all tie in the fourth set, scoring six of the final seven points.

Brookville High School Ladies Tennis continues its strong conference start with another 4-1 victory over Middletown Madison! Brookville Winners: #2 Singles — Lorelai Wells def. 6-1, 6-4. #3 Singles — Kira Volk def. 6-0, 6-1. #1 Doubles — Ellie Dafler & Kinley Ebbing def. 6-0, 6-1. #2 Doubles — Mina Volk & Chloe Thomas def. 6-0, 6-0. At #1 Singles, Mackenzie Tait battled a very formidable opponent, falling 6-0, 6-1. Despite the loss, Mackenzie continues to compete against some of the toughest players on the schedule. The Lady Blue Devils are now 2-0 in conference play! A challenging week is ahead, but this team continues to show its depth, determination, and competitive spirit. Keep working, Ladies!

Mallory Mitchell led the Blue Devils with a 45, followed by Reed Watson (60), Natalia Rodriguez (62), Libby Nutter (65), Kalyn Combs (75), and Jillian Hinze (78). The Brookville Boys Golf team fell to Carlisle 164-195 in a 9-hole match at Grey Wolfe Golf Club. Kale Smith and Elijah Dobbins led the Blue Devils with matching scores of 40, followed by Noah Staton (41), Josh Rust (43), Ben Rust (45), and Randy Wood (47).
